July 29, China Huawei signed a cooperation agreement with Xiamen Municipal Government yesterday afternoon, formally confirming that the first Kupeng Eco-Base and Supercomputing Center will be located in Xiamen.
It is reported that the Kupeng Eco-Base Project is a safe and reliable software and hardware development platform to be built by Huawei to attract more partners and jointly build the industrial ecology of Kupeng and cooperate in the development of Kupeng series products. At present, Huawei has built an online Kupeng community, which provides accelerated libraries, compilers, tool chains, open source operating systems and other resources to help partners and developers quickly grasp the relevant tools. Earlier, Huawei Cloud launched the first four Kunpeng Basic Cloud Services, namely Kunpeng BMS Bare Metal Server, Kunpeng ECS Elastic Cloud Server, Kubernetes Container and Kunpeng Serverless Container, to provide diversified cloud service architecture for enterprises.
The project will use products and services independently developed by Huawei, Taishan server with Kupeng chip as the core, and introduce domestic operating system and database system to provide end-to-end computing capability for the government, large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises and key industries in Xiamen.
Huawei said it planned to invest 3 billion yuan in the next five years to develop Kupeng's industrial ecology, and the total scale of the overcalculation center is expected to reach about 1.5 billion yuan. It can be seen that Huawei attaches great importance to this project and expects that Huawei will bring more and better products and services to the public in the future.
